When you think of the "Lexus LS400" what will usually come to mind for Lexus enthusiasts is quality, stability and lots of history. The LS400 has been one of the premier vehicles of the Lexus line for over ten years. It is an important car and the 1995 model is no exception. The Lexus LS400 falls into the sedan for the family category.

1995 Lexus LS400 Base Specs

The restyled LS400 Base is equipped with a 4.0-liter eight-cylinder engine that utilizes 32 valves. The engine is mated to a Toyota four-speed transmission. This has resulted in an increase in horsepower and torque over the 1994 version.

The front brakes are disc while the rear brakes are disc. Steering is handled through a power-steering rack-style configuration. The LS400 uses power-assisted brakes, with 4-Wheel ABS support. Load balancing is provided by coil front springs and coil in the rear.

The fuel system for the 1995 LS400 is a traditional SFI, running on gasoline fuel. The fuel is controlled by an electronic system and is a fuel-injected MFI design. The capacity of the fuel tank is 22.50 gallons.
