The Acura SLX is a 4-door truck available at your Acura dealer. The SLX came in two configurations: Base and Premium. The Base configuration is powered by the 3.2-liter six-cylinder engine, which makes 18 highway miles and 14 city. The SLX competes in the Sport Utility market segment, in direct competition with Lexus.

A high point in the sport utility market is the Acura SLX. In 1997 Acura released an upgraded version of the SLX with two versions: Base and Premium. Sales for the SLX, especially the SLX Base, were brisk during 1997 and 1998. The improved reliability and the sporty styling were responsible for the sales boost.
