Our Review of the 2000 Acura TL Base

There have been several award-winning cars from Acura over the years, including the Acura TL of 2000. There are one trim levels to the TL, including Base. The Base version is one of the more popular options, outselling other configurations. Like in 1999 the popular 3.2 liter VTEC has made this a popular choice for sedan buyers nationwide.
2000 Acura TL Base Specs
The restyled TL Base is equipped with a 3.2-liter six-cylinder engine that utilizes 24 valves. The VTEC engine is mated to a Honda five-speed transaxle. This has resulted in an increase in horsepower and torque over the 1999 version.
The fuel system for the 2000 TL is a traditional PGM-FI, running on gasoline fuel. The fuel is controlled by an electronic system and is a fuel-injected MFI design. The capacity of the fuel tank is 17.20 gallons.
Steering control is handled through a power-steering rack-style configuration. The TL comes equipped with power-assisted brakes, with 4-Wheel ABS support. The front brakes are disc while the rear brakes are disc. The car uses coil front springs and coil in the rear.
