In 2004 Acura released the RSX Type-S to the car-buying market. The RSX came in two configurations: Type-S and Base. The Type-S configuration is powered by the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, which makes 33 highway miles and 27 city. The RSX competes in the Coupe market segment, in direct competition with Lexus.

Acura RSX Engine Specs

The RSX Type-S is equipped with a Honda 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine that utilizes 16 valves. The VTEC engine is mated to a Honda 6-speed Transaxle. This configuration has proven to be a successful design for Acura.
