Not Your Father’s Vigor – The 1994 Acura Vigor LS

In 1994 Acura released the Vigor LS to the car-buying market. The Vigor came in two configurations: GS and LS. The LS configuration is powered by the 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine, which makes 27 highway miles and 20 city. The Vigor competes in the Sedan market segment, in direct competition with Hyundai.

A high point in the sedan market is the Acura Vigor. In 1994 Acura released an upgraded version of the Vigor with two versions: GS and LS. Sales for the Vigor, especially the Vigor GS, were brisk during 1994 and 1995. The improved reliability and the sporty styling were responsible for the sales boost.

The restyled Vigor GS is equipped with a 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine that utilizes 20 valves. The engine is mated to a Honda five-speed transaxle. This has resulted in an increase in horsepower and torque over the 1991 version.
