The Acura TL is a 4-door car available at your Acura dealer. The TL came in two configurations: Base and Type-S. The Type-S configuration is powered by the 3.5-liter six-cylinder engine, which makes 29 highway miles and 20 city. The TL competes in the Sedan market segment, in direct competition with Lexus.

The 2002 RSX is an important vehicle to Acura for the coupe market segment. The Type-S is a member of a series of three trim levels for the RSX which include Base, L, and Type-S. The two-door car with its front-wheel drive is positioned to aggressively fill this niche for Acura. There is strong competition from vehicles from Nissan.

A high point in the sedan market is the Acura CSX. In 2007 Acura released an upgraded version of the CSX with versions: Base and Type-S.
